It is hard for me to believe that another school year is under way.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize all of our students, teachers, school staff and parents for their support and dedication to Crescent Heights High School.
Students are adjusting well to the start of the school year and our enrollment has gone up to about 1240 students.
Blue Day was a huge success with over 500 students attending this event. For the first time we moved from the Cypress center to the Brand new FLC . This move was a great success. I was incredibly proud of our students and the energy they brought to the day. We have the best school spirit in the city. Special thanks to all the students and teachers and especially the “Teacher Band” for once again putting on a great performance.
Communication with home is really important to us and we strongly encourage parents to look at our school website for important school information. Parents are able to keep track of their student’s progress anytime they wish by going to the Parent Portal on PowerSchool . the link for this is on the website as well. Please explore the School and District Website for more information.
This year we have introduced a CHAT period. This period is an opportunity for students to get extra help with their subjects as well as an opportunity to build relationships with their teachers. the teachers during this CHAT class will also be communicating with parents about their child's progress.
I am very proud of the students involved in our extracurricular activities. Please check out the website deeper to find a list of all these activities.
Please check our school website for the District Professional Development days as well as our Middle School Days. I am extremely proud of our new website as it has a lot of valuable information for parents, staff, and students to view. Please remember to get involved in the School Council by attending a meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the school learning commons.
Please have a look at the attached message from our Incoming Principal for the 2017-18 School Year, Andrew McFetridge
I wish everyone the best in the coming school year.
