Teaching is not just something I do; being a teacher is a part of who I am.

I truly enjoy being in the classroom and working with my students - every day is a new adventure in the classroom, one I am excited to take each day. I started "teaching" at the age of 16 while working as a lifeguard and swimming instructor, it was then that I discovered my interest in making an impact in the lives of students. I completed my education at the University of Alberta, and immediately set off to Kuwait to accept my first teaching post as an English Literature Teacher at an American Bilingual School, where I stayed for two years before moving onto teaching English as a Third Language to students in Kazakhstan for two years.

When I am not in the classroom, you can find me...

Ski Patrolling (or maybe just skiing) out at Elkwater on the winter weekends.
On a long run, training for a half Marathon.
Reading a book, or five, with a cozy cup of coffee.
At the gym lifting weights, or working with Go! Fitness on Fridays (Come Join!).
Hanging out with my cat: KitKat.
Hiking in the hills, or driving out to the mountains for a more challenging adventure.
Singing in the Medicine Hat Adult Choir.
Planning my next trip; I am forever dreaming of all the places I want to go.
