English Language Learner (ELL) Program

English as a Second Language Levels 1-4

The English as a Second Language (ESL) classes introduce English to new Canadian students who have little or no command of English. Basic English survival skills are introduced first. Speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills are developed as the student gains confidence
with the language. The ESL teacher recommendation will determine the level.

Classroom / Teacher Support
Team members specialize in working with ELL students in a variety of contexts. Support is offered
to develop best practices in both instruction and academics.
