School Council

SCHOOL COUNCIL

CHHS believes that parents play an integral role in the education of our students. The CHHS School Council meets at the school and on Google Meet on the last Monday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm unless otherwise notified.

Council mandate is to:

advise the school principal regarding issues of significance to students, parents, and the school.
to serve as a liaison between the parents and the school;
to create a sense of community and cooperation between teachers, students and parents
to recommend, assist and participate in various educational activities of the school and the school community
to assist with fund-raising projects
to discuss general community concerns
to encourage volunteer help at school functions

ESCH/CHHS School Council has subscribed to an informative webinar series that all parents and guardians can access for free. Sponsored by the Alberta School Councils’ Association, the Access Pass is your gateway to a year-long journey of learning with exclusive webinars and a library of resources designed to enhance your knowledge on various educational topics, including mental health, family engagement, cyber safety, fundraising, and school finance. There will be one live, on-line session per month. All webinars are recorded and made accessible to subscribers, so you can watch them at your convenience.
