High School Physical Education

The adolescent years are a critical time for the development of positive lifestyle choices, and the encouragement of physical activity throughout one’s life. At Crescent Heights High School we encourage students to take ownership for their own personal physical and psychological development. Keeping in mind the need for fun, activity, and energy release, the Physical Education department has established the following:

PHYSICAL EDUCATION 10

Physical Education 10 is a required course for a High School Diploma.

The aim of this program is to enable individuals to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to lead an active, healthy lifestyle. The emphasis of this course is on active participation.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION 20 & 30

The Physical Education 20 and 30 program places a strong emphasis on lifetime physical activity. Activities may include aquatics, self-defense, curling, racquetball, fitness, tennis, pickle ball, golf, officiating, sepak takraw, squash, handball, badminton, and softball. A course fee is charged to cover the cost of out-of-school facilities.

*This course has an additional fee.  Please refer to our school website for the current “School Fees” found under the “Resources” tab.
