Today marks the 6th National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2026.
Landmarks across the country will be illuminated in orange, including Medicine Hat's Teepee to honour Surviviors, thier families and communities.
Citizens nationwide wear orange shirts for Orange Shirt Day, to acknowledge the painful legacy and intergenerational trauma of the residential school system, inspired by the testimony of Survivors like Phyllis Webstad.
