Supported Learning

Crescent Heights High School believes in supporting all learners in the most appropriate educational setting.

Learning Assistance Program 7-9

The Jr. LAP program focuses on providing students with individualized skill building in academics, communication, personal and social skills. Jr. LAP students are given the opportunity to build skills through hands-on classroom approach and cooperative learning activities. The student-teacher ratio allows students to work in an environment that fosters lifelong learning and mastery of concepts. Students leave the LAP program with improved skills in academics, work ethics and the ability to communicate and interact with others effectively. Students in this program work on Alberta Education curriculum, although if needed, they will work at a grade level different then their enrolment age. In this sense, the courses in this program are highly individualized.
