2026-2027 Homestay families needed!
Dear Families,
We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity to open your home and heart to an international student for the 2026-27 school year. MHPSD is excited to welcome a number of students from countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Japan who are eager to experience life in Medicine Hat and immerse themselves in Canadian culture. We are looking for families like yours to join this rewarding journey by hosting one of these exceptional students. The duration of their stays run for three months, five months or the entire school year.
Hosting an international student is an enriching experience that brings numerous benefits for your family:
1. Cultural Exchange: Share in the joy of learning about other cultures while introducing your family to the diversity and traditions of another part of the world.
2. Lasting Connections: Build meaningful, lifelong relationships with students who often become extended members of the family.

Our past host families often share how rewarding the experience has been for them, and our International students have a reputation for being enthusiastic, respectful, and deeply appreciative of the chance to learn and grow in Canada.
We are here to support you every step of the way. Whether it’s answering your questions or providing resources to help you prepare, our team is dedicated to ensuring this experience is a positive one for everyone involved. Host families also receive a monthly stipend of $900.
